Rather than solely concentrate on a stock career, animal photographer Bob Elsdale decided to break into books and to take on the challenge of producing a best-seller

A job as a professional animal photographer requires a sharp eye for detail, quick responses, and excellent communication skills. The models can be prima donnas, reluctant to respond to instructions, and they will regularly make a mess of your studio floor.

Award-winning photographer Bob Elsdale is a prime example of a professional with the drive and determination to do something different. With a background in advertising and freelance music photography, Bob’s more recent animal portraits have been successfully distributed both
as stock imagery and through his collection of popular hardback books. Printed in six languages and sold in ten or more different countries worldwide, his collection of ‘Intellectual Animals’ titles
is a big hit.
