Off to the shop this weekend? Whether you're buying new clothes or new camera gear, there's a little mnemonic that can help you save money in the long run - BICBIT, or "Buy It Cheap, Buy It Twice." The least expensive option might save you money in the short term, but when you have to replace the cheaply/crappily-manufactured product very quickly, what looked like a great deal can turn out to bite you. BlackStar Rising has a great piece on this exact topic which simply demonstrates why the cheapest option is not always the best. Read, inwardly digest, and have a great weekend!
